About Russell French

Russell French has lived across the country and across the Atlantic before settling in Portland, Maine in 1988, where he lives with his illustrator wife, Mary Anne Lloyd, and their lovely daughter. Russell is a member of the Portland Slow Food Convivium and volunteers for the Maine Organic Farmers and Gardeners Association. These organizations continue to inspire on a personal and professional level. “By specializing in food photography, I’m able to engage my interest of nature and the environment. Food has expanded my knowledge of other cultures, age old traditions, drawn me closer to my family’s farming roots and deepened my respect for the circle of life.”
